Studio Saturdays: Drawing Leaves from Observation and Imagination with Jillian Sandell

Explore the beauty of nature through drawing with artist, Jillian Sandell. Using leaves from the California Native Plant Garden, participants will observe and study their unique shapes, edges, and textures. Drawing inspiration from a range of artistic approaches– from detailed botanical illustrations to expressive, stylized designs—guests will experiment with a variety of drawing tools, papers, and techniques to create their own leaf designs to take home.
