Notice to all visitors:
The Ontario Museum of History & Art is open with new health and safety protocols and processes—for you, all of our visitors and staff.
Stay home if you are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms:
Do not visit the Ontario Museum of History & Art if you or anyone in your party is exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 as identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which include cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, or chills.
Do not visit Ontario Museum of History & Art if in the last 14 days you or anyone in your party has been in close contact (within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) with someone with a confirmed or suspected (has symptoms) case of COVID-19 or are you or anyone in your party currently under isolation or quarantine orders.
What to Expect:
Ontario Museum of History & Art is excited to announce that major renovations are underway to improve the Museum’s facilities and the visitor experience. The South Wing of the Museum, including the Gem of the Foothills exhibit, is temporarily closed to the public.
- Mandatory Health Screening: Will be required to complete a temperature check prior to entry and pass.
- Masks Required: A mask must be worn, covering the nose and chin at all times. This is required for all visitors over the age 2 and all staff.
- Maintain Physical Distance: Remain at least 6 feet apart from others.
- Practice Hand Sanitizing and Washing: Use hand sanitizer stations located in the hallway.

We provide support financially, through our fundraising and membership efforts; educationally, through our support of the docent program; and throughout the community with our representation at events and activities.

The Museum Store
The store features unique items related to local, regional and California history and art. Items include exhibit catalogs and other books and publications, exhibit posters and educational books and other materials.
The Museum Store is operated by the Museum Associates, a non-profit volunteer support organization for the museum.

The Museum Associates
The Museum Associates was established in 1996 as an offshoot of the original Friends of the Museum. For the last 20 years, the Museum Associates have actively supported the Ontario Museum of History & Art’s education programs and community events. Every year the Museum Associates fund the docent education program and provide volunteers to help make these programs successful. Over the last year, the Museum and Museum Associates’ efforts have seen a marked increase in educational tours for local schools and expanded efforts to reach senior groups, Girl & Boy Scout Troops, and greater community involvement.
